Mezcal bar is a concept bar in Bangkok based on the Mexican alcoholic beverage Mezcal, which is made from the Agave plant.
The small space has been reconfigured to allow for a small outdoor area, a new entrance and about 50 seats.
Full-height bronze-coloured display shelve-screens divide two private areas within the main space, without separating them from the experience. The organic shapes found in the Agave plant have informed the pattern design of the screens.
Curved bench seats are combined with heavily ornated wall panelling rising from the back rest and sit like stage props in front of the walls. An eclectic mix of patterns, eluding at Aztec, Conquistadorian and floral Surrealism are used for floor, wall and ceiling finishes.
